(Video) Machine Gun Kelly Talks New Video, Amber Rose, Dealing With Fame + More On Ebro In The Morning

Hot 97 x Marisa Mendez x Machine Gun Kelly_LifeIsTremendez

Machine Gun Kelly is one of my favorite artists and has been a good friend of mine for years now, so it was double the blessing to make my Hot 97 interview debut with him on Ebro In The Morning today!

The Bad Boy rapper stopped by to discuss his new single and its powerful visual, “A Little More,” and of course he got into plenty of other topics with Ebro and I as well.

Rosenberg Radio Presents: Joe Budden x Marisa Mendez x Rory – I’ll Name This Podcast Later [Episode 14]

image1

Another Wednesday, another podcast – and another grammatically-flawed-but-I-edit-it-myself description from Rory:

Episode 14: Joe, Marisa and Rory pay their respects to Chinx and discuss the TIDAL B-Sides concert. Is Jay Z really just a closet Joe Budden fan? The podcast takes a quick serious turn as Marisa gets her redemption, and continues with the trio discussing the Iverson documentary, Iggy’s face, Male vs. Female egos, and the segments “I’ll Respond To This Email Later” and “It Might Be Over For…”

Rest In Peace, Chinx

Chinx and his family

Earlier today, I was sickened to wake up to the news that Far Rockaway, Queens-based rapper Chinx (formerly known as Chinx Drugz) had been murdered in New York in the late hours of the night.

After leaving a party he’d hosted in Brooklyn, Chinx and his friend were driving through Queens in his silver Porsche Panamera around 4am, when a car pulled up beside them. An assailant let off a round of shots, 5 of which connected with the Coke Boys rapper. Both were taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where Chinx was pronounced DOA. He was 31. His passenger is in critical condition with two bullet wounds to the back, but is expected to survive. He has since updated his Instagram from the hospital. (Photo in the gallery.) 3 men have been arrested in Far Rockaway in connection with the murder, but no further details are available.

Rosenberg Radio Presents: Joe Budden x Marisa Mendez x Rory – I’ll Name This Podcast Later [Episode 13]

IMG_1874

It’s my favorite day of the week! Rory takes it away with his lovely description:

Episode 13 and there is something for everybody; Marisa being flown out to Philadelphia, Rory’s trip to Miami, the NOME 5 rap battle, “Mari’s Sports Desk”, and DeflateGate to start the podcast. The latter part takes a sharp left when the question of “Have you ever pissed on somebody?” is asked; as well as the return of “I’ll Respond To This Email Later” which leads to Marisa being a tad bit sensitive.

That NJ Ish: New Jersey Artists Currently Have The #1 and #2 Songs In The Entire Country

Fetty Wap x Charlie Puth

The last time two male hip-hop artists held down the top two spots on the Billboard Hot 100 was 2009 with Flo’Rida and T.I. The last time a New Jersey artist held down the top spot was Lauryn Hill with “Doo-Wop (That Thing)” in 1998. The last time two New Jersey artists held down the top two spots? Never! (Okay, I don’t actually have that stat but it just went really well with what I had going on here. I don’t know if maybe Springsteen and Bon Jovi did it before, maybe Whitney…I don’t know. But just roll with me here.)

This week, Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth‘s Furious 7 track “See You Again” ranks #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the fourth week in a row, while Fetty Wap‘s “Trap Queen” has climbed up from #3 to its highest spot yet at #2. (Obviously Wiz is not from Jersey, but Charlie Puth is. Rumson, what up!)

That’s not all that we have going on right now, either! East Brunswick teen Jax just scored a Top 3 spot on American Idol, the furthest any state resident has ever advanced. We find out Tuesday whether she makes it to the top 2, and Wednesday if she will be crowned Jersey‘s first-ever “American Idol!”

Rosenberg Radio Presents: Joe Budden x Marisa Mendez – I’ll Name This Podcast Later [Episode 12]

episode 12

Sorry for the wait! Blame Rory! LOL.

Joe, Marisa, Rosenberg Rory and Parks discuss the Mayweather/Pacquiao fight on the new segment “Marisa’s Sports Report” … seriously. Also the concept of “Late Living” with Marisa’s said “Squad,” Rory’s birthday party, the most overrated places to have sex and the introduction of “I’ll Respond To This Email Later.”
