A few weeks back just outside of Philly, I had the chance to catch a Mike Posner show, and chat it up with him afterwards about everything he has going on. (Thanks to Karen Civil, Aaron Camper and Patrick on that!)

The singer/songwriter/producer has been quite busy as of late, working on his next album, a Reebok deal, Justin Bieber’s new single…shall I continue? Decked out in a Coogi sweater and Timbs backstage at the Sovereign Performing Arts Center, Mike candidly spoke with me about all of the above, plus a whole lot more. (There’s a hilarious story about 2 Chainz’ recording process in there!) Get to know your favorite rapper’s favorite singer below.

Summer Jam 2011 was so fun! I got to see so many of my faves, and I chopped it up with Lil Wayne, Drake and Mack Maine about what they’re wearing.

Tunechi is rocking a Fame hoodie (“Shout to Breezy,” he said), shorts by All-Son (he had to double check that one, LOL) Gucci belt (“You know that’s Gucci baby!”) Famous Stars & Stripes hat and Vans kicks. Shout out to his stylist Marisa (not me, LOL.) “Marisa said I can wear different things and they don’t have to match! It still look good!” So true!

Mack Maine is rocking True Blue Jordan 3’s, Polo socks (he wanted to make sure I mentioned that, LOL), an NY Giants snapback and a “Bury Me In My J’s” shirt by 8 & 9 Clothing.

As for Drizzy, it’s all Versace velour (he was appalled that I didn’t know that by looking at it, LOL!) and some black Timbs!

(Video) Marisa Mendez x Joe Budden for IFWT

I stopped by the studio to visit my guy Joey, and decided to ask him about the Slaughterhouse album that’s coming together since the boys signed to Eminem’s Shady Records label earlier this year.

Yesterday, MTV announced the album title would be Monster, but Joe tells us that’s not the case. Pardon the quality – videography isn’t my thing. LOL.

In September 2010, I stopped by Hot 97 to visit a couple of the friends I had made while interning there the year before. My internship on Flex’s show hadn’t been renewed in the summer of ‘09 because they really had no use for me, but I had maintained relationships with a few of the people that worked there. As I was hanging out and talking to them that night, Flex approached me, having remembered me from the year prior. He never knew my name when I interned (LOL), but asked me now and also asked if I was any good with computers and writing. I quickly said yes, and he asked if I wanted to blog for his brand new website, InFlexWeTrust.com, which had launched about 3 weeks prior. Of course I happily accepted, and the rest is history! I had no idea how to blog, but I called up Karen that night and she gave me a quick run-through of WordPress. From there, I figured it the f*ck out!

Above are a few pics from some of the early events: Kanye’s Hot 97 takeover, the IFWT launch concert at BB King’s with Joe Budden, Jae Millz, Freeway and a bunch more, artists stopping by the station (for Kiss FM…as Hot 97 can’t have guests in that building after 5pm ever since the G-Unit shooting), on set of Flex’s MTV2 sneaker show with Fab, looking like a creep with French and Nicki at a show Flex DJ’d (LOL), the IFWT logo on the Knicks jumbotron and more!

(Photos) Summer Jam 2009

As an intern on the Funkmaster Flex show at the time, I got to be a “runner” at Summer Jam 2009. My assigned artist was Serani – and I had an awesomely awkward encounter with him when after an hour of being together, I thought his hypeman was him (because I had no idea what he looked like and someone had incorrectly identified this guy as Serani) and found out the hard way that it wasn’t. LOL!

It was really cool to work behind-the-scenes on the big summer show I had grown up attending!
