If you don’t know who Bobby Shmurda is yet, you better come from under that rock you’ve been living under. The Brooklyn native gave us our dance for the summer, the “Shmoney Dance” from his viral video “Hot N*gga” which has more than 2 million views on YouTube and of course all over Vine, and even getting airplay on the radio!

The Shmoney Dance has taken over. Everyone is doing it, from Chris Brown to Beyonce. He has created quite the buzz, he’s been reached out to by DJ Mustard, Meek Mill brought him out at KOD, Raekwon even brought him out during the Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival, yea I said Raekwon. Artists like Troy Ave added their own verses. Chris Brown also got in on the movement, Bobby has a line in the song that says “Free Breezy” so of course Breezy showed love, showing off his schmoney dance skills on Instagram.

And if that isn’t enough, recently during the On The Run Tour, Bey was doing the Shmoney Dance while Jay said “Come Shmoney Dance with the goodfellas”. He’s really out here y’all.

But can he be more than just an internet sensation with one cool dance? We’ve seen one hit wonders come and go, from Bone Crusher, Young Dro, Huey, list goes on and on. Does Bobby have what it takes to stay for the long haul? I say yes, Ive been watching interviews with Bobby and his charisma and ability to captivate the people he’s talking to is that of star quality. And clearly I’m not the only one to think so.

Bobby recently signed to Epic Records. Sha Money, from Epic Records, says he is the best draft pick of the year! In a recent interview with Complex, Shmurda tells us that he does have more music. After Hot N*igga went viral, the people wanted more, and with reason. He went and told the block he had CD’s and in an hour had $200 in his pocket. We all know he has Brooklyn behind him. Every club I’ve been to since, is playing this track. When it comes through the speakers the people go crazy, everyone doing the dance in unison, I bet Lloyd Banks didn’t think this could happen. But isn’t that what normally happens when a new song with a dance comes out. Does Bobby have what it takes to take this buzz and make it into a career? We all hope so. We’re pushing for you Bobby!
